These are only a few of the faces behind the real struggles and triumphs of Northern Ontarians whose lives are being impacted by organ donation. Your tax-deductible donation to the Rich Griffin #1Saves8 Campaign will help people just like these brave Northerners who had to move in order to get their life-saving surgery…and taking two minutes to sign up as an organ donor could save up to eight lives. Do it now!

  • Richard Giroux of Sudbury is still awaiting a liver.
  • Ronna Dawson of the Sault is putting her home up for sale in order to move to Toronto get her double-lung transplant.
  • Tina Proulx of Sudbury is recovering after her Dec. 2, 2015 transplant. Tina also had to pay for a move to Toronto to get this life-saving surgery.
  • Lindsay Wonnacott of Sault Ste Marie, is currently waiting for a double-lung transplant and had to relocate to Toronto to be put on the waiting list.
  • Sudburian Bob Johnston’s October 2015 kidney transplant gave his son the best gift he’s ever had.
  • A Tribe for Taylum: This Facebook page chronicles the trials of little Taylum Lamoureux of Sudbury, who received a kidney from a generous living donor on May 13, 2015. See his mom and his living donor be interviewed on Canada AM.
  • Valerie Young of North Bay is awaiting a heart transplant in Toronto and is struggling to make her mortgage payments.

Here are the stories of four more Ontarians who are still here because of organ and tissue donation.
